There is a truth that we all know; At some point, we all die and also, we cannot bring anything we had or loved. If we cannot bring what we eager to possess, what is the thing that really important? I believe that rather than the things that we will leave, the thing we’ll leave after death is more important.
This project is about a Materialism; a result of capitalism. Capitalism brings some consequences such as, extreme egoism, corruption and letting people believe that money can erase the guiltiness. The artwork also deals with death and life by emphasizing, and questioning that we face death and how to live for death.
This subject is inspired by the movie that I’ve seen when I was young. At the last scene, the main character’s flesh and blood decomposed into the ground and the bones have remained on the ground. This scene had a huge impact on me.
In this project, by comparing overly decorated coffin and the shabby skeleton, it contrasts even tremendous wealth is useless at the death.
